The Week in Review

An exciting and delicious week happened at Chefs' Haven.  On Tuesday, we had a sold out class participate in Knife Skills (Essentials 1).  Most of the fun group will be returning over the next two weeks to take Essentials 2 and 3.  It plans to be very informative and entertaining.  On Wednesday April 2nd, a new and energetic group of people joined us for "Regions of Italy".  The class was treated to demonstrations of:  Panzanella Salad, Spicy Sausage and Kale Soup, Steak with Gorgonzola and Vidalia Onion and for dessert Panna Cotta.  On Thursday April 3rd, a small but wonderful group got to experience a new class, "Taste of Asian Seafood."  And believe us, they were not disappointed.  The menu included: Thai Coconut Shrimp Soup, Seared Scallops with Yuzu-Wasabi Vinaigrette, Julienne Salad with Ginger Miso Dressing, Pan Seared Striped Bass with Butternut Squash Sauce and Maitake Mushrooms with Truffle Jus.  And then they were pleasantly surprised by an extra dish, Yuzu Sorbet for dessert!  We are also very happy to say that all of our Seafood for the week came from the wonderful George and Son's Seafood, as well as the Butternut Squash and Rainbow Carrots for the salad came from Harvest Market!  We thank them tremendously for their great seafood!

The week really flew by and everyone enjoyed the instruction, not to mention the food!  Next week looks to be just as fun as we kick things off with Hands-On Sushi Making.  Check out our calendar page on our website for more information on upcoming classes.  Join us for an entertaining, fun, instructional and very delicious meal.  you won't find something this interesting anywhere else. (And if you do, let us know because we won't believe you.)  :-)
